JOGO ("we", "us", "our") operates the JOGO mobile and web application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, username, and optional profile information (city, bio, avatar photo).

Activity Data: We collect data about your sports activities, including GPS route data (when you use route tracking or the golf rangefinder), match scores, ELO ratings, and achievements.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system, and browser type for analytics and to improve the Service.

Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise GPS location data when you use route tracking, the golf rangefinder, venue check-ins, or nearby player features. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Service (matchmaking, ELO calculations, leaderboards)
To display your profile to other players
To send notifications about challenges, matches, and friend requests
To improve the Service through usage analytics
To detect and prevent cheating or abuse

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared in these limited cases:

Public profile: Your display name, username, avatar, ELO rating, and match history are visible to other users.
Posts and stories: Content you share publicly on the feed is visible to all users.
Service providers: We use Supabase for database hosting and Vercel for application hosting. These providers process data on our behalf.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row-Level Security policies. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

5. Your Rights

Access: You can view all your data through your dashboard and profile.
Update: You can update your profile information at any time.
Delete: You can request account deletion by contacting us. This will permanently remove your profile, match history, and associated data.
Location: You can disable location tracking at any time in your device settings.
Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device settings.

6. Children's Privacy

JOGO is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
