Terms of Service

Welcome to JOGO. By using our application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using JOGO, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

JOGO is a competitive sports platform that allows users to challenge other players, track sports activities, maintain ELO ratings, participate in tournaments, and connect with the local sports community. The Service includes matchmaking, score tracking, GPS route tracking, golf rangefinder, leaderboards, and social features.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information during registration.
• One account per person. Multiple accounts may be suspended.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false match scores or manipulate ELO ratings
• Use GPS spoofing or other methods to fake activity data
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Create fake accounts or impersonate others
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Spam challenges, messages, or posts
• Circumvent anti-cheat measures

5. Fair Play and Anti-Cheat

JOGO uses automated systems to detect suspicious activity, including speed violations during route tracking and unusual scoring patterns. Flagged activities may be reviewed by administrators and may result in ELO adjustments or account restrictions.

6. ELO Rating System

ELO ratings are calculated automatically based on match results. Both players must confirm scores for matches to be verified. Disputed scores will be reviewed. JOGO reserves the right to adjust ELO ratings to maintain system integrity.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (posts, stories, comments). By posting on JOGO, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display your content within the Service. You are responsible for the content you post.

8. Marketplace

The JOGO marketplace allows users to list and browse sports equipment. JOGO is not a party to transactions between users and does not guarantee the quality or safety of listed items. Users transact at their own risk.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard settings or by contacting us.

10. Disclaimers

• JOGO is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not responsible for injuries during sports activities.
• GPS and distance measurements are approximate and should not be relied upon for safety-critical decisions.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of venue information or availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JOGO and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada.
